The Utility Technician position is responsible for performing the safe and timely installation and/or reconfiguration of systems furniture and casegoods for assigned projects without damage and in accordance with project specifications. This position requires a polite, helpful, and positive attitude, as well as a professional image, when interacting with the public, customers, and team members.
Responsibilities:
- Installation, reconfiguration, moving, and repair of freestanding and systems furniture
- Maintains onsite storage/staging and off-site warehouse areas in an organized manner
- Personnel moves
- Setups for conference rooms, corporate events, trade fairs, etc.
- Hang artwork, corkboards, glass boards, and whiteboards
- Light bulb replacement in furniture
- Provide the above services to all locations as directed by the coordinator and the client
Training/Skill Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to two years of related experience or training preferred
- Furniture installation experience preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Computer Skills required: iPhone, Outlook
- Ability to perform physical tasks that may include reaching with arms, regularly standing & walking, occasional sitting, regularly lifting up to 10 lbs., frequently lifting and/or moving up to 75 lbs., & occasionally handling items in excess of 75 lbs.
