This position’s primary role is to develop new customers by providing quick response to customer needs with cost-effective furniture, architectural products, audio visual, and related service solutions. Responsible for prospecting for sales opportunities in a variety of client networks (e.g., medical facilities, government, business & industry, community colleges, and universities) in and around Richmond, VA. In addition, this role is to increase sales/gross profit to existing accounts with an emphasis on key product and service initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Recognize and understand business opportunities and develop effective business development strategies.
- Develop and continually work various client networks (e.g. real estate professionals, architects and designers, general contractors, and C-suite executives).
- Research, develop and maintain prospect lists of potential customers.
- Develop sales proposals and make presentations to clients, perform follow-up calls to prospects, and negotiate and close deals.
- Provides customers with relevant “valuable” information and recommends integrated solutions that address their business challenges.
.Key Skills and Abilities:
- A proven track record as a top sales performer, a high degree of initiative and self-motivation, and the ability to sell in both short and long sales cycles. Previous industry sales experience is considered beneficial, but not a requirement.
- Must have experience sourcing, networking, implementing and executing strategic sales plans.
- Effectively interact with “C-level” customer executives
Education and / or Experience: Require 3-5 years of front line b-b sales experience focusing in on new business. 4 year college education preferred. Industry experience helpful, but not necessary.
