Project Info
Saint Gertrude High School is an independent Catholic, college-preparatory, day school for young women grades 9-12. Founded in 1922 by the Benedictine Sisters of Virginia, Saint Gertrude is defined by an innovative and rigorous liberal arts curriculum and a commitment to the Benedictine values of hospitality, stewardship, and community service. After moving out of the city in 2020 and sharing the same academic building with Benedictine College Preparatory, Saint Gertrude opened a new school building of its own in August 2023. The new building includes a Grand Hall, a Dining Hall with a prep kitchen, classrooms, a fine arts center, and administrative offices.
